In Honduras our running costs are £26,000 ($40,000) a year to run, including 6 local teacher salaries for the Phoenix College, 6 part-time teacher salaries (students from our college) plus their University fees, daily food and fruit, educational materials, transport and maintenance. Phoenix Secondary School and College Teachers
We aim to spend £23,600 ($ 36,500) on the teachers' salaries and transport in the Phoenix secondary school and College, from which the students graduate in Rural Social Sustainable Enterprise.
To train up teachers for the future we pay six of our colegio students a stipend to help out in primary school. We will also be covering their University costs so that they become qualified teachers (included in the previous total).
Daily food and fruit
Each year we aim to spend £1,500 ($ 2,300) on daily food and fruit.
We aim to spend £500 ($ 800) a year on school supplies, text books and materials.
We aim to spend £400 ($ 600) on cultural celebrations.
